So I guess I didn't know what I was talking about when I thought I'd found the perfect dress. Apparently now I've found the perfect dress. This gem was a floor length ghastly thing before I took my scissors to it, now it's the only dress I want to wear. $5, oversized, soft navy cord, what more could you ask for?

I have so many pretty things to put up on etsy. School seems to be filling up my whole life these days. Only a few weeks left!

dress: vintage, thrifted
bag: vintage
boots: Dolce Vita
tights: wallgreens
earings: topshop

  19. cute look little lady! i just bought pantyhose like that the other day at lucky's. i mean sometimes you just want the sheerness of a bare leg, but with SOME warmth but not so opaque as tights. thus the "pantyhose" were born. ;)

  31. perchance is this dress a vintage llbean? I also have a formerly-floor length monstrosity that I did the exact same thing to - mine is also cord but covered in a tiny floral print.

and regardless of who the original maker is, did you also wonder how it could ever have been a clothing item listed in a catalog where people would look at it and say to themselves "yes, yes! this is the one!"
