This hat is one of my favorites. I thrifted it at goodwill last year and wear it all the time. I want to bring one hat on my trip this June but can't make up my mind whether to bring this one or my big straw one. Decisions decisions.
loafers: topshop hat:vintage, thirfted bag: E&Co. blouse: vintage, thrifted
trousers: H&M coat: vintage, thrifted
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. x
The hat looks amazing paired with your jacket. Those two colours are amazing together :)
ReplyDeleteShame about the button. Hope you find a replacement soon! :)
love the coat, what a great find. hope you find a replacement button :-)
ReplyDeleteLove this look! It has a bohemian vibe! Great!!

I can't believe you thrifted that coat, it's so perfect! I love the hat as well.
ReplyDeleteThe coat (and the whole outfit) are just lovely, but it looks like the weather must be freezing for this time of year! Hmmm... I'm not sure I can help you decide with the hat; I would bring whichever one is less likely to get destroyed by the toils of travelling though. So maybe this one.
ReplyDeleteDo you have an itinerary yet for your trip?
i vote take the hat you are wearing in this post..but that's just because i love it! :) and because you look quite stunning in it as well! xoxo
ReplyDeletei love the coat... we dont notice the missing button :)

Steffys Pros and Cons
what an amazing find at goodwill.
ReplyDeletethat coat looks like it could be from topshop or zara.
you look so wonderful in pants. you wear them so well.
i know that is a odd thing to say..haha.
but whatever. :P
have a wonderful sunday love.
xoox
seriously, what a gorgeous coat! shame about the button, but you could probably find some equally lovely ones & replace them all so they match. i agree with gee above, you look great in pants :)
ReplyDeleteYou look totally cute as always. I vote for you to bring this hat on your trip. It seems really versatile and easy to remix. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Straw hats are A PAIN to bring on trips!!
ReplyDeleteI'm terrified of crushing mine so I end up having to wear it on the plane there and back. And you can't exactly wear it while sitting on the plane because then you can't sleep with the brim poking out in the back. And then you have to decide if you think it'd be safest sitting in your lap or resting near your feet. And you end up worrying about spilling food on it or kicking it in your sleep...
I could pull my hair just thinking about it!
Maybe you're not as neurotic as I am though. In any case, I would suggest the floppier one. At least for peace of mind !!
Everything about this outfit is perfection. That hat is gorgeous and that bike pin on that adorable coat just works so well!

Even with a missing button that coat is pretty amazing! So is your outfit, like usually, you're so simple and so chic and I always love your looks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coat!! Wow..i love the color! I'm very jealous of it..and I love the added bicycle pin. SO cute. Love the hat as always too!

I think you should definitely bring this one! It's so adorable. Also I love that coat, it's sad you can't find similar buttons, but I'm sure you'll come up with something! :)

I adore your beautiful coat! And the hat is the perfect finishing touch! I'm forever loosing buttons - I have a huge pile of them in my room! (I'm always forgetting to sew them back on again!)

Sadly my buttons tend to pop off my old coats too... usually I just buy a whole new set to replace them (there are always interesting buttons on etsy).
ReplyDeleteLove that hat on you, I've been wanting a similar one but haven't come across one yet!
adorable outfit! love the hat--it makes me think of carly simon. thanks for commenting on my blog & for the compliment on the drawings. :)
ReplyDeleteopps on the missing button but the coat still looks so good especially with the hat. Love your style, so simple, vintage chic. Thanks for dropping by my blog with your sweet comments. Following you!

Hello, thanks for reading my blog and for your kind comment - I'l be sure to repost once I've fixed the shoulders!
ReplyDeleteI would suggest taking the straw hat if you're going to the Mediterranean - it will be HOT and although this hat is amazing, you just might end up never wearing it because your head will boil!
amaaaaazing coat and perfect hat, you look stunning per usual! I love your casual chic looks :)
ReplyDeletehi sweets! I think you should bring the brown one as you can fold it up for travel. or don't bring one and make it a point to get yourself a new one on the trip.
ReplyDeletesorry i missed you ladies last night-- I got home later than anticipated and was flattened. :o hope you had a lucrative evening!
this outfit is so brilliantly seventies, i love it. i hate when i put off mending/repairing clothes that are wearing until it's too late to fix them. at least it's the top button! i wouldn't even have noticed if you didnt say anything :)
ReplyDeleteDamn, that is one amazing coat. I've been searching for the perfect camel one for the NZ winter, but they're all so big and bulky! Where are all the coats for little ladies at?!
ReplyDeleteAlso, have you got photos of your tattoos anywhere? I would love to have a good gander!
Blogspot just kindly re-instated some comments from my older posts, and I'm glad you're interested in doing a thrifting swap! I'm going on an opshop adventure today, so I'll be on the lookout for things to send you! xo
We have matching hats (well almost matching hats!) And you know I LOVE your bicycle pin. I had so much fun last night! Those drinks you made me were just so yummy. I kept on telling Matty the wonders of your drink making skills :-) xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I've read back a few of your posts and I really like your style and I am following now. You've definitely got some great thrifts. I love the hat and the shoes. And that circular long skirt from a previous post. Nice.

Ah I hate when that happens. I've lot earring by simply not taking the time to put in an earring back. That hat is amazing. I'm glad your building up a nice collection. I suggest you bring the hat that will travel well and still come out okay. Love that coat lady. That shade of brown is just perfect.
ReplyDeletewhat a pretty coat - a mismatched replacement button might look pretty cool, too!
ReplyDeleteas for the hat situation, i say take both! although i've certainly been known to overpack (as evidenced by one of my recent blog posts!)

ReplyDeleteI love the way you always styled your vintage-y clothes to one casual, fresh, easy to wear outfit.
And i love the brown-palette too <3
